2016 FIAT 500 review
I LOVE this car! People have actually approached me for my opinion on it, and a couple have actually offered to buy it from me! No way! I will keep it as long as I can. I have every bell and whistle and leather interior, alloy rims,GPS, blind spot mirrors, commands located on my steering wheel, heated seats and steering wheel, adjustable lumbar support, my back seat folds down for extra loading space.

2021 MINI Hardtop review
It be of no secret that the Germans are behind the production of the MINI Brand. The fit and finish, drive, engineering and even smell are all very much in tune with the Brand's Ownership. The drive and sheer joy one feels from driving one of these products makes you feel like a kid again, playing with their favorite toy after a day of school. There are bigger and more expensive offerings to choose but none have the character or joy of ownership of a MINI.

2021 Mazda Mazda3 review
Purchased a 2021 sedan premium plus turbo AWD in 2022 with 11,000 miles. THE BAD: At 17,000 miles I discovered the front end would wobble when I applied the brakes. I was told by the dealer that I needed front and rear rotors and that the cost would be $1,000. When I asked why I needed brakes at only 17K miles I was told it was because the rotors must have gotten wet when I drove through a puddle when they were hot. Really? He obviously thought I was an idiot. It ended up costing me $600 to have a local shop do the work including an upgrade on the quality of the original factory rotors and pads. At 29,000 miles the car left me stranded in a parking lot when the battery died. A replacement battery cost me $280. At 30,000 miles the original manufacturer tires were badly worn and needed to be replaced (and yes I rotate them in fact EVERY oil change as opposed to every other). I purchased 4 Michelin tires which cost me $1,200. Also at 30K miles a rock came up from the road and cracked my windshield causing me to spend my deductible to have it fixed ($500). Nobody's fault I understand, just one more expense with so few miles.I have also noticed that I often get a "safety and driver support systems temporarily disabled" notice. It seems to be random but is annoying nonetheless. Shouldn't be happening at 32K miles. At 29K miles I apparently hit a pothole and the front rim was badly bent. The cost to straighten the rim was $140. The lane departure safety feature is annoying. Every time I even begin to leave my lane it violently pulls me back. Even when I need to go around an object in the road it pulls me back. Also, the tone associated with lane departure only works when it fells like it which is probably a good thing. Another issue is that it takes forever for the interior to get warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The car needs to warm up for at least 15 minutes before the temperature gets where I need it to be. The problem with that is that when using the remote start through the Mazda App, it only allows the car to run for 10 minutes. Also, you can't make any adjustments to the temperature from the app. ... THE GOOD: This vehicle is a blast to drive! It sounds great and it has plenty of power and I am still in love with the exterior appearence. The interior is done so well and as YouTube car reviewers say, "it's a great place to be". It has every option I would every want except for wireless Apple car play. It handles great and the AWD seems to work really well in slippery conditions. Currently I am at a crossroads. Do I sell my Mazda3 while the value is still high and get something else or do I keep it and hope nothing else goes wrong? I really like the car but I want to love it. One issue is the fact that when I purchased it I got 2.9% financing. I would be lucky to get 6.9% with todays rates. Also, if I sold it what the xxxx would I buy that has all of these features, a turbo engine and AWD that wouldn't cost me $35-$45K?!

2014 MINI Hardtop review
Bought it new. Hard to tell that it's almost 8yrs old. Third Mini, first automatic. Very nimble and good acceleration. Love the heads up display and love love the power folding mirrors and side driver visor. Seats are very comfortable and have an extension for longer legs available. Haven't been able to figure out how to delete older phones from the bluetooth or unwanted addresses from the nav system tho. Biggest drawback for me is that the nearest dealer is 1.5 hrs away. But they do offer a valet service to pick up the car if scheduled in advance. It's not the most inexpensive to repair but what vehicle is nowadays.

2013 Mazda Mazda3 review
I purchased my 2013 Mazda 3i Grand Touring Hatchback (manual transmission) in 2014 and the previous owner had put 30K miles on it. I've now got 140K and still love the car. Outside of recommended maintenance, the only repair expense I've had was I decided to replace the clutch. It hadn't failed but it was starting to show some slippage. I haven't even had to replace the brake pads yet! As for likes and dislikes that someone checking out this car might not notice just from looking, here are some negatives: 1) The 1-2 shift is always a bit notchy but others are smooth. 2) The 2.0L doesn't have a lot of power in the lower revs but 3000-4000 rpms it's pretty spirited (assuming you don't have four large adults in the car) 3) I ended up replacing the OEM headunit (the BOSE with Navigation) with an Eonon. I had issues getting the Eonon working early on but after a couple updates, it's been a huge improvement. 4) The biggest negative is that at some point, I'll have to let it go. On the positive side: 1) It handles great, 2) It carries a decent amount for its size 3) It gets good gas mileage (I used to average 35mpg but in recent years my driving in this car has been more around town and it's fallen back to 31-32.) 4) It's been extremely reliable. 5) The front seats are very comfortable (I'm 5'7" and the car fits me great. I imagine taller people would not be as comfortable.)

The dealer called me immediately and described the car I was interested in. Informed me about the cars 1 owner history and was very outgoing and friendly. Offered options in car delivery, since I reside in hayward, CA. I wish I could have purchased this spiffy red Toyota Corolla 2007 but I assisted in dental procedure payments in the past year so I currently cant afford to make any major purchase this year. But, it's great to know that there are still some very nice older model cars out there when I am ready to purchase 1. I pray that before my next car smog in 2 years that I will have the funds to purchase a 2007-2016 Toyota Corolla Basic style car. Any free car donations are welcome too but hopefully near where I live because I would like to test drive the next car I get and Tracy, CA is kind of far from where I live, but the folks around there seem to cherish their cars and am more likely to purchase a 1 buyer car there than around this very fast moving part of the East Bay area here in Alameda County. We can barely exit our apartment driveway where I reside currently because the traffic come from 2 major speedy streets leading on and off the freeway. My neighbor and her child were badly injured because on our 25MPH street the cars go about 50MPH on the average. I wish the mayor, and city council would put some traffic slowing bumps on our street but for now I'm just feeling anxious about living on this busy street here in Hayward, CA, USA?

2020 Toyota Prius Prime review
Great drivability! Great room! Unfortunately, not confident in expertise at service center for plug in hybrid issues. No one has seen enough issues to understand how they can malfunction... they are totally dependent on computer codes and what the manual says.... haven’t really studied the tecnology and engineering enough to be able to anticipate and or respond to technical questions and circumstances.... sales people are completely oblivious to the technology!!! Cannot answer simple engineering questions about car! Service department seems only modestly more experienced, and have no passion or desire to really know or understand.... so their ability to inform and guide the customer is basically non existent. They call “ experts” elsewhere in the country... don’t appear to care to become experts themselves. This means that the customer has little to no confidence that their car is actually going to be fixed properly because they are completely reliant on manual and mechanics located elsewhere to solve issues.... fully expect that any upcoming repairs will be “ out of the box” repairs.... computer says that EGR valve is malfunctioning, so it needs a new one! When all it needs is a vacuum hose reconnected.... or something down these lines. This is really bad that the customer will need to understand their own car better than dealership mechanics, and will mean that extremely expensive parts will be seen as the solution to “ fixing” the oroblem...eg, I won’t be surprised if we own the vehicle for 10 plus years, that a new computer control module will be found to be needed because the code said it was malfunctioning.... when a small gasket waterproofing the compartment has failed and causes it to work improperly when it wet outside... The customer is left feeling uncared about, or cared for... and that Toyota hires fundamentally unprofessional or lazy service mechanics, and dont properly expect expertise or mastery about their products...

2018 Nissan Versa Note review
I love the Versa Note--it's compact, agile, has lots of interior room, it's zippy and much more fuel efficient than my previous Nissan hatchback (from 2008). Only had it seven months but it has been unfailingly reliable. What I want in a car is small size, efficiency, nimbleness, and reliability--I adore this car.

2016 Hyundai Elantra GT review
For the price, I couldn't have made a better choice. This car has ventilated and heated seats, and all the bells and whistles available at that time. Had I purchased one of its competitors, I would have paid much more for what this car has. It has been a reliable vehicle as I have had all regular maintenance completed. I have only had to replace tires, battery, and take in for one or two recalls over the years. I'm passing it on to my graduate that's how safe I believe he will be.

My wife and I are now proud owners of a new 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Touring (River Rock Pearl Two Tone), thanks to the incredible efforts of Donald Myers at Fairfield Subaru. It was a much-needed surprise for my wife, whose car was recently totaled. She's always dreamed of a Subaru, and this past Sunday, Don made that dream a reality, exceeding all expectations. Our journey was initially frustrating. Our first attempt at Albany Subaru ended with an inexplicable $15,000 price hike upon arrival. They made us feel like we were wasting their time for not paying this huge markup. That, plus a Napa dealer selling a car from under us after starting paperwork, left us wary of dealership games. As a former car salesman, I know these tactics and just wanted an honest, respectful experience. Finding the new Forester Hybrid in my wife's preferred River Rock Pearl was incredibly difficult due to high demand. We'd almost resigned ourselves to a gas version, placing a deposit on an incoming silver model at Fairfield Subaru with Don. From our first interaction, Don was a pleasure – experienced, knowledgeable, and not pushy. I immediately felt I could trust him. Weeks later, I told Don my wife truly desired the River Rock Pearl. Don immediately found that exact Hybrid Touring incoming, unlisted online! We eagerly switched our deposit. Crucially, Don cleared it with his manager first, given the car's high demand. He then transparently explained a fair markup reflecting supply/demand. As a business owner, I respected this straightforwardness; businesses must be viable to serve customers and support their teams. Best of all, the price Don quoted was exactly what we paid. No surprises or games – just pure honesty. Don is a salesman of true character. The Forester arrived a week early, which was fantastic, but my wife was out of town. Given our past negative experiences, we were anxious the car might be sold, as our "reserve" was verbal. I also couldn't get from Santa Rosa to Fairfield that Sunday. Don then went truly above and beyond. He spent Saturday helping me with remote paperwork. Then, to ensure I could retrieve the car and surprise my wife, Don offered to drive an hour to Santa Rosa to pick me up! I was floored and initially declined, not wanting to impose. He then immediately offered an Uber or Lyft. This dedication is almost unheard of. Thanks to Don, when I arrived at Fairfield Subaru this past Sunday, the numbers were exactly as promised. I paid, and in under 30 minutes, was driving away. My wife's airport surprise was a success – she was overjoyed! Don even followed up the next day to ensure everything was satisfactory, testifying to his unwavering commitment. Don understood our needs and explained market realities, navigating everything perfectly with mutual respect. After bait-and-switch tactics elsewhere and a friend's harassment at Santa Rosa Subaru, Don was a complete breath of fresh air. He is a true diamond in the rough. Driving to Fairfield for Donald Myers is unequivocally worth it. Simply call and ask for him. Fairfield Subaru, Don is exceptional; his service earned you our business for life and highest recommendations. 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
The engineering and design are outstanding . The driving experience is very special for this price range. It’s real fun to drive. It’s an icon. Let down by quality issues unknown to Japanese vehicles and ridiculous service and repair costs. I love the car but dread any encounter with the dealer in North Tampa.. I think their service charges are equal to BMW and Mercedes.

2018 Toyota Prius Prime review
I purchased my 2018 Prius Prime Advanced back in March of 2018 and have never had a problem with the vehicle. I work only 7 miles from my home and usually go 3 months on a tank of gas and average 165-175 mpg. I will say I use non ethanol gas in the vehicle since it sits in the tank for an extend period of time. I did change the tires after 50K only because of the tire noise but other than that I do the oil changes every 10k since the gas engine doesn't come on that often. People say what about your electric bill ? I charge on off peak times and can't tell a difference in our power bill.
